Stop The Clog - Can Your Fats Oils & Grease

Teach our youth the right way.

grease in a skillet

As an educator, you have the unique opportunity to guide children's understanding of their environment and the effects they have on it. Proper disposal of fats, oils and grease (FOG) is one simple step they can take in making a difference.

Why should you and your students care?

When people dump butter, oil, fatty meat scraps and other greasy items down the drain, they create a variety of problems for our community and environment:

  • Smelly, dirty sewage backups and overflows
  • Heath and environmental hazards from overflows polluting local waterways
  • Increased sewer rates and plumbing costs

How can you help?

1. Teach your students about proper FOG disposal methods. Use the prepared curriculum tips

2. Schedule a FREE water education program assembly. It's a fun, entertaining and award-winning presentation.
